One person reads it, so a reply can take a while. Everything gets read.
Worth writing about
- A number here looks wrong. This is the most useful message I can get. The figures come from a published feed and the arithmetic on top of them is mine, which means the mistakes are mine too. If something does not match what IRCC shows you, please say so.
- A category name is wrong. The feed ships slugs, not display names, so the names on the categories page are my reading of them rather than IRCC's official wording. Corrections welcome.
- Something is broken. A page that will not load, a table that renders wrong, a link that goes nowhere. Telling me the browser and device helps.
- A question about the method. If the methodology does not answer it, that is a gap in the writing and worth fixing.
- It helped, or it did not. Both are useful. The second more so.
What I cannot do
It matters more to be clear about this than to seem useful, so plainly:
- I cannot look up your application. This site has no access to any case, any file, or any system. It reads one public page of aggregate numbers, the same one you can read.
- I cannot tell you when yours will be decided. Nobody outside IRCC can, and the estimates here are projections from a handful of monthly observations, not a schedule.
- I cannot contact IRCC for you, or move anything along. No one running an unofficial website can, whatever the site says.
- I cannot give immigration or legal advice. For anything about your own case, please speak to a qualified adviser or use IRCC's own channels. Their check processing times page is the official source for timelines, and canada.ca carries their web form and phone lines for case-specific enquiries.
Please do not send personal details
Not your name, application or UCI number, passport details, or documents. I have no way to use them and no reason to hold them, and an email inbox is a poor place for them to sit. If you are writing about a figure that looks wrong, the filing month and the number you were shown is everything I need.
The site itself collects none of this: the month you select is never sent anywhere, and the estimate is calculated in your browser. The privacy policy sets out what is and is not collected.
Corrections
If a correction changes something a reader relied on, it gets fixed on the page and noted in the next entry on the monthly updates page rather than quietly edited away. A site about uncertain numbers has no business being quiet about its own mistakes.
